Nvidia has launched its Rubin AI platform, a six-component system designed to revolutionize large-scale AI workloads. The platform integrates the Vera CPU, Rubin GPU, NVLink 6 Switch, ConnectX-9 SuperNIC, BlueField-4 DPU, and Spectrum-6 Ethernet Switch, promising improved efficiency and reduced GPU requirements for AI training and inference.

Cloud giants Microsoft, AWS, and Google Cloud are already preparing to deploy Rubin systems in their data centers by 2026. The platform's cost-effective design leverages commodity GDDR7 memory and a monolithic die, potentially lowering build costs while maintaining computational power.

Despite the technological leap, Nvidia's stock dipped slightly in early trading as investors weighed the platform's long-term adoption timeline against its ambitious specifications. The Rubin CPX architecture stands at the Core of this new infrastructure, driving demand for next-generation 800G and 1.6T datacenter optics.
